He was interviewed for a position in Senator Obama’s office, and was accepted as a “deputy political director”. Currently, he is part of Obama’s administration as a personal aide. Furthermore, he was the person of the week January 23, 2009. He is referred to as the president’s “chief of stuff”.

While at Duke,he was the captain of the basketball team and played reciever for the football team. He graduated from Duke with a degree in public policy and political science. After some unsuccessful NFL tryouts, Reggie applied for a position in Barack Obama's senate office and was appointed the deputy political director. During the 2008 election, he played basketball with the president everyday there was a primary. He will leave his current position at the end of 2011 to return to school at the University of Pennsylvania.
